Lana and Ivan were the perfect guides for my first medicine ceremony. The combination of Ivan's non-dualistic teaching and Lana's experience as a seasoned psychotherapist, wrapped in their deep Shamanic essence, all presented as a gift with no ego desire for self-aggrandizement on their part, put me at ease. The structured nature of the retreat, where every ceremony and breath work session includes integration, the loving-kindness and strength of Lana, Ivan and team--created a container in which I felt safe enough to allow the medicine to work. 

Ivan and Lana's deep intuitive instruction and assistance in the medicine ceremonies allowed me to see that my heart is not a place to keep sorrow and pain. Rather it is a place to alchemize and process pain and suffering for myself and others, that myself and others may experience healing. Prior to this I had no idea the amount of pain and suffering I held in my heart that kept me from truly connecting to others and myself. My heart was so busy keeping me safe from all of that hurt and pain that it could not open. Now I am able to be more vulnerable, and therefore more connected--and feel it-- with others.
